Ride Horses through Belize’s lush jungles and contribute to conservation of this important wildlife corridor. Here at MET, we have dedicated the past 34 years proving excellence in horseback riding trails with our knowledgeable guides, on well-trained horses to secluded destinations. As the years passed, we have witnessed the changing landscape and dwindling forested areas around us. As a result our land has now become a thriving wildlife corridor, rich with biodiversity. MET is home to several troops of Black Howler Monkeys as well as and many species of mammals, reptiles, insects and birds found in our part of Belize. We are determined to preserve as much of the jungle on our property and surrounding areas as possible. By booking a ride with us, you are directly contributing to our efforts. Riding through the lush jungle trails and up into the Mountain Pine Ridge, you will quickly see what we fell in love with and why we think it’s worth saving.
Rainforest Valley Ride (2.5 hour Half-Day Ride)
A shorter ride, centered on jungle trail riding. Visit a lush alluvial valley and ride through the crystal clear waters of Slate Creek. As you ride, our guides will share stories of their Belizean cultural heritage, medicinal uses for the numerous plants and help you spot birds and perhaps even a Black Howler monkey along the way. Take a short break, exploring the creek and then ride back to MET for departure or add lunch to your experience. Lunch is served in our open-air Cantina, with a view of the valley and hummingbirds zipping in and out as you enjoy a home-cooked local dish. This Ride is perfect for small family groups. Beginners are welcome. Kids can join as long as they can sit in the saddle on their own horse.

Waterfall Trail (5-6 Hour Full-Day Ride)
The waterfall trail ride is a longer ride for those who are those more experienced riders who are up for a longer more physically demanding day. Traverse through our private jungle trails and watch as the landscape transitions into pine savannah. After a couple of hours you will reach a private, hidden waterfall. Dive into the jungle pools for a refreshing swim and then enjoy a light snack or ask us include a packed lunch with your tour and enjoy a picnic lunch beside the rushing waterfalls.
